Allison Elizabeth Burns

Allison Elizabeth Burns is a choreographer, performer, producer, and teacher. She has worked on dance, theatre, and multidisciplinary projects. She has performed in choreographic works by TAKE UP SPACE, Riley Sims (Winter Creation Lab 2019), Noémie Lafrance (Endless Landscape 2017), Jérôme Bel (Gala, Festival TransAmériques 2016), Siôned Watkins (2018 National Arts Centre Orchestra presentation), and Renata Soutter (The Wild Life, Propeller Dance Company 2017), among others, and has toured North America (2014-15).

 Her choreography has been presented at the Annual Alberta Dance Festival (We Three, 2018), Dark Horse Dance Projects (The Key to Time Travel, 2017) and in the Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa Fringe Festivals (2010-19). In 2019 she is looking forward to presenting her work in Toronto at the dance: made in canada Festival and Your Dance Fest. She choreographed 9th Hour Theatre's 2018 production of Godspell, and collaborated with Odyssey Theatre as choreographer and dance leader on their 2017 Spreading Roots community outreach project.

 She founded, produced and hosted the dance podcast, Dirty Feet (2012-17). She is a co-founder and former artistic producer of the Montreal’s Bouge d’ici Dance Festival (2007-16). Allison graduated from Concordia University with a degree in Contemporary Dance with distinction in 2010.

Allison has collaborated with TAKE UP SPACE as performer in TAKE UP SPACE + MOONFRUITS and performer/choreographer in Theresa’s poem and little dances / petites danses.

Allison Elizabeth Burns est chorégraphe, interprète, productrice et enseignante. Elle a travaillé sur nombreux projets multidisciplinaires, de danse et de théâtre.
