Voici une rêverie, tendre et puissante, qui célèbre la vie de tous les jours. Groupe art-folk bilingue d’Ottawa, Moonfruits est mené par complices-conjoints Alex Millaire et Kaitlin Milroy. Dans une forêt de guitare, banjo, kalimba et glockenspiel, leurs voix fouillent dans les fonds et planent dans les airs.
Ste-Quequepart (2017) est le premier album à grand dépouillement de Moonfruits. Isolement, gentrification et communauté forment le coeur de cette fiction villageoise élaborée. Mélangeant conte et chanson français-anglais, le duo tisse des rêves avec ses auditeurs d’océan en océan, et décroche Trille Or, Prix Chanson SOCAN et Prix Stingray Rising Star en chemin.
Moonfruits a foulé les planches de moult scènes dont la Quatrième Salle du CNA, la Place des Arts, RBC Bluesfest, CityFolk, Festival of Small Halls Ontario, Blue Skies Music Festival, la Nuit sur l’Étang, le FrancoFEST de Hamilton (avec membres du Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra), Quality Block Party, Festival du Voyageur, Philadelphia Folk Festival, et s’est notamment produit lors de la première diffusion bilingue simultanée Radio-Canada/CBC.

Trille Or, SOCAN Song Award and Stingray Rising Star Award winners, Moonfruits have toured Canada coast to coast, moving audiences with a live show that mixes French and English organically, playfully, intentionally. Their début full-length Ste-Quequepart (2017) \saint-kehk-pahr or Saint Somewhere\ is an elaborate small town fiction that explores the faces of gentrification, isolation and community.
